ADMISSION OF PAKISTANI ORIGIN FOREIGNERS IN
MEDICAL/ENGINEERING
INSTITUTIONS OF PAKISTAN
The
seats for admission in medical colleges and engineering
universities of Pakistan are available in the medical
for foreign nationals of Pakistani origin under “Pakistan
Technical Assistance Programme (PTAP)/Self Financing
Scheme (SFS)”.
15 seats under PTAP and 35-40 seats under SFS
in medical colleges of Pakistan are allocated this
year. Similarly,
13 seats under PTAP and 5-10 seats in SFS are allocated
for admission in engineering universities. Foreign students of Pakistani origin
admitted under PTAP programme will pay the tuition
fee and other dues at reduced rates mostly at par
with the Pakistani students while the students admitted
under SFS scheme will pay tuition fee and other dues
at fixed rates by the institution concerned.
The applicant must have studied abroad and
passed Higher Secondary School Examination/Grade 12/equivalent
examination from abroad. The student must have following
combination of subjects:
(i)
For MBBS/Bachelor of Dental Surgery / Physics,
Chemistry & Biology B.Pharmacy
(ii) For
BSc Engineering
Physics, Chemistry & Math
The selection will be made strictly on merit
determined on the basis of the marks provided by Inter
Board Committee of Chairman, Islamabad.
The students will be required to submit the
completed application forms (typed or printed in triplicate)
and attested copies of the following documents must
accompany each form:
(a)
Certificates/Marks Sheet of HSSC/Equivalent
Examination;
(b) Copies
of passport of the applicant and one of his/her parents
(c) Proof
of Pakistani origin i.e. Pakistani passport/National
Identity Card/Registration Form etc.
The last date for submission of application
forms for the season 2001-2002 is September 2001.
