Requirements
for Machine Readable Passports (MRP)
Note
|
Only Consulate General of Pakistan Toronto is processing
MRP in Canada
- Only those applicant(s) who hold CNIC / NICOP / CRC are eligible for MRP.
- Personal appearance at the consulate is mandatory for the processing and
issuance of MRP.
- If the person collecting the MRP is other than the applicant(s) then
he/she will has to bring his/her valid original Pakistani and Canadian
identity along with MRP Token Slip and Old (Previous) Pakistani Passport of
the applicant(s).
- No endorsement is made on a Machine Readable Passport.
- Machine Readable Passport is issued with 5 years validity and is not
extendable.

No form is required for the MRP.
- The applicant(s) of MRP should not bring any photograph. The photograph
is captured on the spot in the Consulate while processing the MRP.

Mandatory Supporting
Documents
-
Original valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) / National
Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) / NADRA Child Registration
Certificate (B-Form) and it's photocopy.

Original and Photocopies of CNIC/NICOP/CRC,
Canadian PR Card or Citizenship Card with Canadian Passport and First Four pages of
Old Pakistani Passport.
- In Case Applicant is born outside of
Pakistan. Original Birth certificate with copy is required for processing of
MRP
- NADRA (B-Form) is only acceptable if applicant is under 18
years of age.
- For Applicant less than 18 years old.
Parents CNIC/NICOP or Pakistani Passport copies must be attached with
application.
- Old (Previous) Pakistani Passport along with photocopies of first four
(4) pages.

Child whose name was endorsed on mother / father
manual passport, should produce that passport in original and photocopy of
first four pages and copy of the page where child was endorsed.
- Canadian Passport / PR Card / Landing Paper / Valid Status abroad along
with it's photocopy.

Fee
Note: Fee is acceptable in the form of Bank
Draft, Money Order, or Certified Check in the favour of Consulate General of
Pakistan. However, to facilitate the applicants, Habib Canadian Bank's
booth at the Consulate General of Pakistan, Toronto, prepares bank
draft and charges $5 fee. The Bank also accepts debit or credit cards
and cash during the document submission timings ie 0915-1215 hrs.

Note **: Please note that Machine
Readable Passport (MRP) are prepared in Pakistan. Please do not book your
flight itinerary without receiving passport from this Consulate General
due to exceptional delay may be expected in printing or delivary of
passport from Pakistan.

Note*: In case of lost of passport, new passport
will only be processed after receiving the verification of lost passport
from the Passport Issuing Office and Lost Passport Police Report from
concern Police station

Note: Fee is acceptable only in the form of Bank
Draft. However, to facilitate the applicants, Habib Canadian Bank has a
booth within the premises of the Consulate General of Pakistan, Toronto,
for bank services and has a CD $5 service charges

Pakistan. So processing time may vary.
